NIST publishes FIPS 203 (ML-KEM), FIPS 204 (ML-DSA) and FIPS 205 (SLH-DSA) as final standards — the starting gun for global migration.
Window closes · 2030
NIST IR 8547 (draft transition guidance) deprecates 112-bit-security classical algorithms — RSA-2048, ECDSA P-256 — after 2030, and disallows them after 2035.

Why it matters today
